When a man is choking young and beautiful Talli to death, time stops. Talli finds herself in a strange mirror world, in which just certain doors open to her.

Confused and scared she tries to avoid her path to meet her lover, which is also her killer. But streets are literally changing. The laws of physics don’t seem to mean much in this world and she is not able to alter her way. Talli has to go on a journey, confronting her traumas, and each door just seem to lead her further into her memories she tries to run away from.



Juliane Block made her directorial debut with the short film “Unsecured Loan” in 2007 which subsequently got her accepted as director into the Berlinale Talentcampus with Mike Figgis being her mentor in 2008.

The success of her award winning first feature “Emperor” gave her the traction to move on to direct her second feature “Kinks,” which won the “Best Asian Comedy Award” at the Colortape Film Festival in Australia. Her 13 short films have been screened around the world and the feature “Trainstation,” a collaborative effort she is involved in as director, won “Best Feature” at the Los Angeles Diversity Festival and “Best Feature” at the Kansas International Film Festival in 2016, as well as the Special Jury Award at the Film Fest Kosova. Her latest features “8 Remains,” a psychological thriller, and “3 Lives” are currently in post production.

Executive Producer

Malcolm Winter has a long history in the fund-raising world and also has many years of experience as a business analyst.  He is particularly strong in the area of connecting the right kind of businesses with the most suitable financial vehicles.  His key areas of expertise are in sourcing investment opportunities, negotiation and strategy.

Malcolm was a property buyer and director with Roxbourne Estates in the 90’s and was responsible for all the budgeting for the refurbishments, as well as managing the refurbishments to a high standard. Malcolm also had a large property portfolio which he sold in the late 90’s.

For the last 10 years Malcolm has established himself in the entertainment business and is Executive Producing films and TV Shows. The most recent film being 3 Lives a psychological thriller and this was completed July 2017. Prior to 3 Lives, came Abduct, Adormidera, Mightier than the Sword, Warriors, Rise of the Appliances and two seasons of the TV Show Checkmate. Malcolm has five films and one TV show in pre-production.

Malcolm was educated at Richmond and in his spare time is a keen tournament chess player.

Executive Producer

Monika Gergelova has over 8 years’ experience in film & TV productions, producing and Executive producing.

Monika also created and conceived the successful TV show Checkmate now being distributed worldwide and has Executive Produced several major films & TV shows, including very recently 3 lives a psychological thriller completed July 2017.

Monika has been involved in production for a number of years and has helped to Executive Produce films such as, 3 Lives, Abduct, Warriors, Mightier than the Sword, Fear of Invisible Man, From Beyond, Frankenstein Gothic and Vijli. Monika has 5 films in pre–production and one TV show. Monika also attends MIPCOM and MIPTV media markets. Monika in her spare time competes in chess tournaments and enjoys teaching children how to play chess.


Willi Haninger has been working as a mediator between production and design since 2007 for a number of entertainment- and advertising-agencies.His work includes ads for national broadcasting (i.e. Pepsi, Bayer, Huawei) and product design (i.e. for Studiocanal, Warner Brothers) as well as the production of five short films, selected at festivals like the DOK Animation Fest in Germany and the Hawaii Big Island Film Festival.


Ilia Eshkenazy Jossifov is a composer, musician and professional opera singer with more than two decades of work experience. As a film composer Jossifov is known for the award winning documentaries “Star Tours,” “Mont Blanc” and “Messner’s Alps,” following the features “The House of Adam,” and “POX.” He worked with Julia Roberts on the musical interpretation of “Birds in Fall” (in development) and had the chance to also work with Percy Adlon, Dorris Dörrie and Bernd Eichinger. As opera singer, he performed at the Staatsoper Berlin under Daniel Barenboim.

8 Remains is Laura Sommer’s first feature film script.


Ann Foo first discovered her love of editing on a VHS tape-to-tape system in a Perth high school. Since then, she has lived and worked in Sydney, London and New York City, gathering a diverse experience of scripted narrative, broadcast television, documentary, commercials and advertising. She approaches each project with her signature blend of passion and integrity and can always be trusted to apply a strong storytelling sensibility to every project.

She holds a Master of Editing from the Australian Film TV and Radio School and was awarded a scholarship to study at Westminster London. She has received editing awards from Hatchfest Montana and the Australian Screen Editors Guild, where she frequently serves on the judging panel. Her films have screened at several international festivals including Raindance (UK), Palm Springs (USA) and Flickerfest (Aust). She worked previously with Juliane Block on her last feature 8 Remains  as Script Supervisor.
